Briefly introduce your company:
The transport activity was founded way back in 1968 by Mr. Leonardo Papagni, who, increasingly believing in his own professional abilities and fully aware of the high social value assumed by transport in civil society, has constantly increased his investments over time in the activity itself until reaching, in November 1981, the establishment of the current corporate structure.
In 1992, the intermodal transport service was used (combined road/rail transport, road/ship etc.), appropriately structuring itself through the purchase of interchangeable van swap bodies, and this with considerable flexibility in the execution of the service. In the meantime, a decent vehicle fleet has been consolidated, made up of trucks of different capacities, trailers and containers.
At the moment we have a plant, constantly manned and equipped with remote control, consisting of a maneuvering area for vehicles of approximately 15,000 m2, a "transit point" of approximately 3500 m2 divided into storage areas diversified by type of goods ( ordinary, food, dangerous, etc.), in addition to the offices which occupy a surface area of approximately 500m2. We also have a food storage area, according to the HACCP method required by Legislative Decree 155/97.
How long have you been affiliated with the Group?
This year we received the loyalty award from the Cds Group, in fact our affiliation is one of the longest-standing, we have been part of the Group since 2008.
Which areas/provinces do you serve for the Group and which sectors/customers do you target?
We serve the areas of Bari and Brindisi and aim towards the national and international market.
What added value does your company bring to the network?
The longevity of our company, which has been operating in the area for more than 40 years and has experienced the evolution of the market in the world of transport, gives us enough experience to guarantee the correct condition of the goods at their destination and their suitable preparation for the journey, as well as forwarding via structures that determine the shortest distance from departure to arrival and, therefore, the least number of movements.
An important "plus" within the range of "products" made available to our customers is the road transport of dangerous goods subject to ADR regulation, having appropriately equipped vehicles and drivers with the relevant professional training certificate available in its own structure.
