This month we interviewed Roberto Baldini from B.S. Group.
Tell us about yourselves! What’s the story behind your company, and what’s your role within it?
To trace the origins of our company, we have to go back to the 1970s, when Mr. Baldini Severino had to move to Switzerland for work.
Almost as a game, he began with the purchase of a small, old truck, which he used on weekends or holidays to carry out moves from Switzerland to Italy, serving Italian families returning to their hometowns.
In 1982, Mr. Severino returned to Italy with his family and started working as a truck driver by purchasing a tractor-trailer and collaborating with an Italian transport cooperative. He later decided to found his own small sole proprietorship which, over the years, thanks to dedication, professionalism, and passion, achieved excellent results.
As time went on, the whole family joined the business: his eldest son Roberto in logistics and fleet operations, and his daughter Daniela in the administrative/accounting department.
The passion for transport inspired the now-famous and unique slogan of Logistica Baldini Severino:
"The pleasure of transporting!!!"
All company vehicles are equipped with satellite security systems that allow continuous national and international monitoring of both the vehicles and the goods being transported.
What motivated you to join the network?
There were several reasons, including:
Greater visibility:
Joining a transport network allowed us to access a wider platform where we could showcase our services to a broader audience. Visibility increased as we became part of a well-established system, where clients specifically seek out professionals already within the network. This boosts word-of-mouth, direct marketing, and brand recognition.
Optimized resource management:
Collaborating within a network allowed for better resource management, such as fleet and logistics. Transporters like us can optimize delivery times, reduce operational costs, and increase efficiency through the sharing of information and resources.
What features make your service unique in the areas/provinces you serve for the Group? What customers or sectors are your strong points?
The features that make our transport service unique in the areas or provinces we serve may vary based on the company’s specific operations, but some common traits are:
Targeted territorial coverage:
A group of transporters often stands out for efficient and deeply rooted coverage in the areas it serves. If the Group is well integrated locally, it can respond quickly to local needs with optimized logistics tailored to the area’s characteristics.
The Group can also offer customized services for rural or underserved areas, providing added value for clients who require secure and timely transport in these regions.
Other key strengths:
Tailored services
Advanced technology and tracking
Promptness and reliability
Dedicated customer service and personalized support
Key customers and sectors:
