This month we interviewed Paola La Marra, Sales Manager at La Marra.
Tell us about your company! What’s the story behind it, and what’s your role within the organization?
Our company has been operating for over 40 years in the field of transport, logistics, warehousing, and distribution at both national and international levels. It is still a family-run business, committed to maintaining this identity over time and preserving, as much as possible, a direct relationship between ownership and staff.
After gaining experience first as an administrative clerk and then in the operations/fleet management department, I now run the company together with my parents. I’m mainly responsible for the commercial and contractual aspects with customers and suppliers. I also oversee quality, environmental, and safety certification systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, SQAS, and Gender Equality Certification), as well as staff training.
How long have you been part of Gruppo CDS, and what motivated you to join the network?
We’ve been part of Gruppo CDS for about eight months. What motivated us to join was mainly the opportunity to broaden our service offering and provide our customers with an additional type of service — parcel shipments.
What makes your service unique in the areas/provinces you cover for the Group? Which clients or sectors represent your main strengths?
We always strive to give our best to both our customers and the other affiliates in the network. We focus on meeting delivery times and are always available to accommodate the various needs of our clients.
What does being part of CDS mean to you? How has the affiliation influenced your daily work and growth opportunities?
As mentioned earlier, it has allowed us to expand our range of services to customers and meet the needs of companies that require shipments of smaller packages, in addition to standard pallets.
