Affiliate interview of the month - Nuova Transports

This month we interviewed Laurence Corbin, Partner Network Manager at Nuova Transport.

Tell us who you are! What’s the story of your company, and what is your role within it?

Nuova Transports was founded in 1991 by four professionals from the European groupage transport sector. In 2019, we became part of the Rhenus Group under an independent white-label status, allowing us to ensure the company’s continuity. In 2025, Nuova Transports is a dynamic organization of 80 people. I manage the ongoing development of our partner network across all European industrial regions.

Since when have you been part of Gruppo CDS, and what led you to join the network?

In 2011, we joined the International Forwarding Association, where we first came into contact with Gruppo CDS. We found the answer to our needs: comprehensive coverage of the Italian territory, including the islands, through companies with strong local roots, committed to offering customers a consistent, high-quality service as part of a network of companies sharing the same goals.

What are the strengths that make your service unique in the areas/provinces you serve for the Group? Which clients or sectors are your key focus?

We are very much aligned with Gruppo CDS in the constant pursuit of improving our performance—an essential element for building long-lasting partnerships with our customers. We are able to meet increasingly complex needs that help clients develop their projects. We are particularly well established in the Lombardy economic fabric, characterized by small and medium-sized companies that have achieved excellence in sectors such as cosmetics.

What does being part of CDS mean to you? How has the affiliation impacted your daily work and growth opportunities?

By being part of CDS, Nuova Transports can offer both our international partners and our clients a solid presence in every Italian province. Together we define our targets, measure our performance, and invest jointly to grow.
